The Health Professions Library supports the curricular and research needs of students and faculty at the Brookdale Campus of Hunter College. This library serves the Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing, programs in Physical Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology offered through the School of Health Professions, and the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences. The library also supports the work of several centers of advanced study based at the Brookdale Campus, including the Brookdale Center for Healthy Aging and Longevity, the Center for Urban and Community Health, the Center for Environmental and Occupational Health, and the Center for Communication Disorders. For state board exams and certification information, as well as media and audio-visual resources, please refer to the Health Professions Education Center.

Entrance to the library and borrowing privileges are limited to CUNY students, faculty, and staff, Hunter College *alumni, and Empire State College students and faculty.  For more information please see the Hunter Libraries Library Access guidelines.

*Alumni should visit the Office of Alumni Relations for information on access to campus departments.

Library Computer Labs

The Health Professions Library maintains two PC labs, one inside the library and one in Room W245.  The main PC lab inside the library (30 workstations) is open for use by library patrons during the library's stated hours of operation; the PC lab in Room W245 (14 workstations) is open at the discretion of library staff. Additionally, Hunter faculty may request use of either lab for private instructional sessions by contacting Prof. Ajatshatru Pathak at apathak@hunter.cuny.edu. Instructors with groups of 14 or fewer students may reserve Room W245; groups of 15 or more users are eligible to reserve the main PC lab.
