The Hunter College Presidents’ Gallery is a collection of photographs and short biographical entries on each of the 13 Hunter College Presidents from Thomas Hunter, the first president appointed in 1870, to Jennifer J. Raab, the 13th appointed in 2001. Biographical entries are also included for all the Acting/Interim presidents who also served. Each president’s information is in chronological order according to his/her term of office. Links are provided to the finding aids for their collections where available. Enjoy this view of Hunter’s history through the eyes of its presidents.
The images in this slideshow exhibit are from the Lenox Hill Neighborhood House Collection, 1892-1994, which is housed in Archives & Special Collections of the Hunter College Libraries of the City University of New York.
