PsycINFOThe electronic version of Psychological Abstracts. (This is the same database that you might
have used under the name Psychlit.) PsycINFO contains citations and summaries of journal
articles, book chapters, books, dissertations, and technical reports, all in the field of psychology
and the psychological aspects of related disciplines, such as medicine, psychiatry, nursing,
sociology, education, pharmacology, physiology, linguistics, anthropology, business, and law.
Journal coverage, dating back to the 1800s, includes international material selected from more
than 1,700 periodicals written in over 30 languages. Current chapter and book coverage
includes worldwide English-language material published from 1987-present. Over
60,000 reference are added annually through weekly updates.
PsycARTICLES
PsycARTICLES is a database of full-text articles from
journals published by the American
Psychological Association, the APA Educational Publishing
Foundation, the Canadian
Psychological Association, and Hogrefe & Huber. The
database includes all material from
the print journals with the exception of ads and editorial
board list and covers the years
1988-present. It can be searched directly by topic or
by citation using the same EBSCO
interface as PsychINFO.
