Computer Science
Comprehensive Clearinghouse site from SUNY Albany libraries. Links

Formal Methods
Created by Jonathan Bowen, computer science professor, South Bank University,
London. From the homepage: "This document contains some pointers
to information on Formal Methods, useful for mathematically describing
and reasoning about computer-based systems, available around the world

The History of Computing
Edited by J.A.N. Lee of the Computer Science Department at Virginia
Tech. The site grew out of materials for the PBS special The Machine
That Changed The World (1992). Includes Lee's own writings on
the topic as well as links to other relevant sites.

PC Webopedia
Excellent dictionary/encyclopedia. Definitions are clear and often
include diagrams. Includes links from terms also having entries in the
Webopedia. Each entry is accompanied by a menu of related categories and
related terms.
Programer's Oasis
Provides links with information on a stunning array of programming
languages, including C++, Java, and Perl.
