Formal Methods

The History of Computing
Edited by J.A.N. Lee of the Computer Science Department at Virginia Tech. The site grew out of materials for the PBS special The Machine That Changed The World (1992). Includes Lee's own writings on the topic as well as links to other relevant sites.

Free On-line Dictionary of Computing

PC Webopedia
Excellent dictionary/encyclopedia. Definitions are clear and often include diagrams. Includes links from terms also having entries in the Webopedia. Each entry is accompanied by a menu of related categories and related terms. 

Programer's Oasis 
Provides links with information on a stunning array of programming languages, including C++, Java, and Perl. 

University of California at Irvine Machine Learning Repository
