Document Delivery allows faculty to request articles owned in hard copy by the library to be scanned so that they can be accessed from any Internet ready computer. The system retains a history of all Document Delivery and ILL transactions.
ILLiad's Document Delivery replaces the Faculty Duplicating Service. The old paper requests are no longer required. After logging on to the ILLiad, patrons select the Document Delivery option and complete the request form. The requested hard copy journal is scanned, Document Delivery staff load the article, and then email you a link with instructions for downloading. Both Document Delivery and ILL downloads reside in the same location for 30 days.
Photocopies from Hunter Microforms will still be sent to the faculty member through inter-office mail.
Email notifications are sent to your Hunter email account. Articles are saved as PDF files so they can be viewed using free software such as Adobe Reader. Turnaround time is generally 1-2 weekdays and longer for microforms.
