Renew

  • Want to renew your materials via the Web? Select "My Circ Record" then type in your CUNY ID barcode number in the "Barcode" window. Type the same barcode number again in the "Password" window. Click on the "Sign in" button, select "Loans" and then click on the underlined item number to the left of the screen. Then click on "Renew."


If successful, a new due date will appear . If you do not see a new due date your book has NOT been renewed. Please note: If you have overdue items or, if there is "a hold" on the item you wish to renew, you will not receive a new due date.

To protect your privacy, close the browser window upon completion.

  • Overdue books, videos, music CD's, juvenile books, teacher's resources and reserve materials cannot be renewed.

  • Books will not be renewed if there is a block on your record.

Local Patrons: Renewals

Members of the following groups can renew their books at the Circulation Desk: Hunter College Alumnus, Hunter High School students, and Hunter College Now Students.

  • Overdue books, videos, music CD's, juvenile books, teacher's resources and reserve materials cannot be renewed.

  • Books will not be renewed if there is a block on your record.

Request

Request Items through CLICS:

  • Learn how to find a book in CUNY+.  In the book's record in CUNY+ click on the  "Request this Copy" link on the orange bar above the call number. If you wish to pick up your book at the Wexler Library, be sure to select "Hunter" as  your pick up location.

  • The system will not allow you to request Hunter books to be held at Hunter unless they are checked out, then the book would be held for you when you return. If the desired book is on the shelf, you must go to the shelf to retrieve it.

  • Obtain step-by-step instructions on how to place books on hold.

  • The total number of CLICs loans a student can get is 50 and the total number of checkouts per day is 10.

To Put Materials On Hold at Hunter:

  • Learn how to find a book in CUNY+.  In the book's record in CUNY+ click on the "Request this Copy" link on the orange bar at the top of the screen.  You MUST be in the Hunter record to request that a book get held at Hunter. If you are in the record of another CUNY school and click the "Request this Copy" link the book will get sent to Hunter from that school.

From Libraries Outside of CUNY Using InterlibraryLoan (ILL) Service:

Return

  • To return the books you borrow from Hunter you can visit the circulation desks at the main campus, HPL or SWL.
  • You may return any books your borrow from Hunter at any CUNY library.
