CUNY libraries have an open access policy. CUNY students and faculty with valid IDs can use materials from any of the CUNY libraries with two exceptions, CUNY Law School and the Graduate Center Library. Any student may use the Graduate Center Library but only graduate students may check out materials.

If the book is available at New York Public Library it should be obtained there. If not, Metro cards are available at the reference desk for students who need to use a library ordinarily not accessible to CUNY students. The Metro cards are issued at the 4th floor reference desk.
