Students
and Faculty at Hunter College can take advantage of the CUNY libraries’ open
access policy. CUNY students and faculty with valid IDs can borrow circulating materials
from any of the CUNY libraries using CLICS, with two exceptions: CUNY Law
School and the Graduate Center Library. Any student may use the Graduate Center Library or the CUNY Law School Library; only
Graduate Students and Faculty members may borrow materials from the Graduate Center Library. The CUNY Law Library is entirely
non-circulating.
If
you need materials that are not available at any CUNY library you can search other
libraries’ online catalogs. Below is a list of links to other New York-area, national,
and international catalogs.
A
quick way to search many library catalogs at one time is to use WorldCat, which
can be found in the Databases list
under the letter ‘W.’
If
you determine that the library materials you need are not available from the
CUNY or public library systems (for example, at Columbia University), please
visit the Reference Desk at any of the Hunter Libraries to obtain a METRO Referral Card from a
librarian.
