Points of Notice for the Start of the Fall Semester at the Schools of Social Work and Public Health Library

August 30th, 2012 by Philip Swan

With a new semester underway, there are a few items of note that students should be aware of:

-There are now two drop boxes available to use when returning books. One slot is to the right of the library’s front door and can be used to return books, including when the library is closed. The second slot is built into the circulation desk and can be used to return books as well. Please keep in mind that reserve books should be handed to someone at the desk to make sure they are checked in in a timely manner and are not charged to your account.

-Writing Center Tutors will be available to help School of Social Work students starting September 11. The hours are yet to be determined.

-The Hunter College Book Store now has a temporary branch in study room 108C in the library. The book store will be closed on September 3 for Labor Day but will reopen next Tuesday through Friday from 1:00-7:00. If you have any questions about the bookstore, including their inventory, please call 212-650-3970 or go to their webpage at http://www.huntercollege.bkstr.com
