Hunter College Libraries

The Library of Congress is one of 16 institutions contributing photos to the Flickr Commons. The LOC recently released a report titled “For the Common Good: The Library of Congress Flickr Pilot” detailing the results of the first nine months of the pilot. Overall the project has been a great success and has increased “awareness of the Library and its collections.” The LOC will continue to participate in the Flickr Commons and proves to be a wonderful model for other institutions seeking to increase their presence on the web and in Web 2.0 communities.
