Scan your stuff!

The Hunter College Wexler (Main) Library is now the proud owner of a scanning station. It is located on the 4th floor in the room to the left of the reference desk:
The scanning station is a nice alternative to photocopying, particularly if you are low on cash. You can scan items for free and email them to yourself, or save them to your flash drive to print or read at a later date. This is a great idea for course reserve materials, reference books, and periodicals, all of which cannot be taken out of the library.
You should be aware that you are limited to 10 minutes of scanning at a time in order to give your fellow students a chance to use the scanner as well. Also, there is a 25 page limit due to file size restrictions, so if you are scanning more than 25 pages, be sure to do it in small batches.
If you have questions about using the scanner, there is a friendly and knowledgeable student available to help you at the Reference Desk. Don’t be afraid to ask!
The new scanning station: just one more way the Hunter College Libraries are working to make your lives easier. Happy Scanning!
