This workshop is designed to help graduate students become more familiar with doing library research. The workshop will introduce students to the resources the library has available especially for graduate students. The atmosphere will be informal and the format will be flexible depending on the questions of the students. Information will be distributed and electronic resources will be demonstrated. Topics to be covered include:
• A list of subject bibliographers will be provided so that the students may schedule appointments with them to receive in depth help with their research.
• Students will be informed of resources outside of the CUNY libraries that are available to them through the use of interlibrary loan, Metro Referral Cards to other libraries, and information will be provided regarding other valuable public research libraries.
• The journal process will be fully explained and online databases most helpful to graduate students will be highlighted.
• Information on remote use of databases.
No reservation is necessary.
