I just stumbled across two media opportunities from the U.S. Government, via their Twitter feed, USAgov:
First, for you budding filmmakers out there, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is hosting a Lead Poisoning Prevention video contest, details here. Anyone who has ever rented an apartment in New York City is probably aware of the extra clause in our leases acknowledging the presence of lead paint in many buildings throughout the five boroughs. How would you spread the word about lead poisoning prevention? Let us know if you decide to enter the contest!
Second, for those of you who enjoy participating in polls, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is having a Flu Prevention PSA contest on YouTube! You can cast your vote for your favorite video to increase public awareness about flu prevention. Which video was your favorite?
