CUNY’s Federated Search

Are you tired of searching several different databases for the same subject because you are not getting the results you need from the first one you tried? Did you know that you can do one search for many databases at once through the following trial portal:?

EBSCOhost Integrated Search portal, located on Hunter College libraries’ database page ( http://library.hunter.cuny.edu/find/databases)

is a  trial database which makes it easier to access many electronic resources from a single search interface.

Some of the databases you can search all at once are JSTOR, Lexis, ProQuest: Historical Newspapers, The New York Times, and Project Music.

Once you enter the database you will  be presented with the option of  choosing databases by subject, limiting your search to general reference databases, electronic books,  or science and health, etc.

OR  you can select all the databases. After you get your results you can refine them by year(s) published.

Under “preferences” you can arrange for citations to be sent to you by email. You can also create email alerts for your searches. There are many other options and they are worth exploring!
