Workshop for Faculty
August 29th, 2008 by Lauren Yannotta
Attention Faculty Members:
In collaboration with the TRC, Brian Lym and I will be conducting a workshop on integrating library resources into Blackboard course sites. The workshop will be help on Wednesday, September 3rd, from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm. You can sign up here: http://www.hunter.cuny.edu/icit/trc/workshops/index.shtml
Below is a description of the workshop:
Integrating library resources and services into a Blackboard course site enhances student learning by connecting them with high quality research resources and to librarians who can help them. Often students are unfamiliar with the resources available through the library and rely too heavily on the open web to fulfill their information needs. Connecting students to better resources will foster information literacy and will result in higher quality papers. In this workshop we will train you on how to embed permanent links to items in the CUNY+ library catalog, articles in databases, and more. You’ll also get an overview of the resources and services available to your students through the Hunter College Libraries.
We hope to see you there!
