Want to learn more about Hunter College’s history?  Founded in 1870 as the Normal College and named for its first president, Thomas Hunter, in 1914, Archives & Special Collections has created a Hunter College Presidents Gallery.  A chronological listing of all the presidents, including acting presidents, of Hunter College with photographs, it provides a brief summary of each past president’s accomplishments during his/her tenure as president.  To learn more about the history of Hunter College and its leaders, click here.
