For Faculty: Linking to Electronic Reserves (ERes) via Blackboard
September 2nd, 2008 by David Donabedian
Did you know you can link to Electronic Reserves via Blackboard?
Students can access course materials virtually through the library’s Electronic Reserve service (ERes). Faculty may submit photocopies of articles and book chapters to be scanned, or links from Hunter’s online subscription databases, to be placed in ERes. When using ERes, you also have the option of the Libraries verifying the copyright compliance of course materials.
Now, you can also link to your course reserves through Blackboard. This process is fairly easy and can streamline the virtual classroom experience by making readings available just by clicking in the course menu. Using ERes within Blackboard may also serve to ensure the copyright compliance of readings accessible through the course page.
